- Opmerking: Manfred Zingler (2011-07-24) - It seems to be T. tovarensis. But it doesn`t grow in the Podocarpus NP (the side of Zamora Ch.). (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Determinatie: Guillermo Rivera (2011-07-24) =Tillandsia tovarensis
- Yes i agree. It was at the end of the road into Podocarpus NP but from another entrance. (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Opmerking: Guillermo Rivera (2017-07-12) - After 6 plant tours with www.PlantExpeditions.com in Ecuador I would like to conclude that this is indeed Tillandsia rubella (podocarpus N P) and different from
T tovarensis which grows in central and northern Ecuador (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl) - Determinatie: Guillermo Rivera (2017-07-12) =Tillandsia rubella
(Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Opmerking (6807): Eric Gouda (2017-07-13) - Guillermo: Tillandsia tovarensis/maculata complex is not well understood and needs to be investigated more. It could be that there are some more species involved but it is distributed from Panama to Bolivia (Brazil & Chile). Tillandsia rubella has a relative longer peduncle and more dense Once branched inflorescence (correction) (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
