Tillandsia tenuifolia var alba ?
Verzamel locatie: Venezuela - Miranda - Caracas
Fotograaf: Matthias Asmuss
Opmerking: too late to look for adaxial sepals; another picture
upload will show you the two "albiflowered" specimen
in the region of Caracas; on the left side is the
may be new variety alba for tenuifolia; on the
right side you can see this "new" plant again;
may be it is natural hybrid where also Ti garneri
could be involved since they grow there a lot
Determinatie: in behandeling

- Determinatie (5612): HEL (2010-04-19) =Tillandsia stricta more likely.
(Verzonden: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl)
- Opmerking (5612): Matthias Asmuss (2010-05-24) - until now Ti stricta has just been reported in some states far away from this place; could it be
a natural hybrid between juncea and tenuifolia ?
by the way, the Ti tenuifolia var alba or so exists;
I just have to find the photo; I found it
close to the place of this Tillandsia here (Verzonden: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl) - Opmerking (5612): Eric Gouda (2010-05-25) - If still flowering, check the adaxial (toward the axis) sepals, are these highly connate? Then it is T.tenuifolia, if all sepals equally for 2-4 mm connate T.stricta (Verzonden: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl)
