- Determinatie (317): Eric Gouda (2009-09-09) =Aechmea woronowii
- an Amazonian Rainforest species
beautiful picture - Opmerking (317): Derek Butcher (2010-01-09) - The previous note suggests these are synonymous. Don't forget that Streptocalyx poeppigii is now called Aechmea vallerandii although how you tell the difference between this taxon and Aechmea woronowii I do not know (Verzonden: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl)
- Opmerking (317): Eric Gouda (2010-01-11) - That was mentioned in the article of Walter Till, where he pointed out this new name for S.poeppigii. It is the lack of petal appendiges in A.beeriana/vallerandii. I think an other thing is that the ovary and sepals are white at anthesis in A.woronowii and blueish in A.beeriana/vallerandii (Verzonden: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl)
