Verzamel locatie: Colombia - Cauca Department - Southeast of Popoyan, Purace National Park, Cordillera Central Range, in the paramo at the well-visited thermal springs and further south in the park.

Opmerking: I reviewed the 62 species on the FCBS site, but this one isn't there. The rosettes are typically less than 0.5 meters across, and they form thick mats. (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)

This is a guess but this species has been collected neat the National Park. I am sending you a description direct to you so you can check it. If you are going to do more exploring it may be worthwhile joining the WWWBromeliad Society.
