OBSERVATIONS. P. tillii is very common in the coastal province of Esmeraldas, where it forms dense groups covering vertical walls or cuts along the road. It forms a long stem, which can exceed 2 m in length, and, which arches from the weight of the plant and inflorescence. —SeeManzanares 2005
