- This recently described species from the very humid Cochabamba rain forests, at an altitude between 600 and 1550 m (Ibisch et al. 1999), now has been recorded in the adjacent department of La Paz, at an altitude of 1400 to 1550 m. Although the plants are much more robust and larger than the type plants, they should belong to the same species. —See Ibisch et al. 2002 p. 3
