Encholirium eddiestevesii forms great populations in the limestone Flora of the Parque Estadual de Terra Ronca, at the boundary of Bahia with Goiás and close to the municipal district of Niquelandia (GO) (Fig. 25). Of the many limestone Flora areas observed along the highways that link the municipal districts of Iaciara, Nova Roma, Posse and Guarani de Goiás, all had extensive populations, that probably belong to this species, but were sterile or with very old fruits on the occasion that we were in this area. An important consideration to be made on E. eddiestevesii is that many of its populations were located inside the lake of the hydroelectric power station of Serra da Mesa (Fig. 54 - A), where the great majority of the limestone Flora was submerged. —SeeForzza 2001
