Abstract:—Tillandsia chacomasensis, a new epilithic bromeliad species from the southern part of the Dpto. of La Libertad, Peru, is described and illustrated. The species, like T. mollepataensis, belongs to the alliance of T. ermitae but differs significantly from both. Furthermore, the type locality of T. mollepataensis has been corrected, and its conservation status has been elevated
