Four New Natural Hybrids with Tillandsia complanata from Ecuador V

Abstract:—Four natural hybrids in the genus Tillandsia are described and illustrated, with T. complanata as one of the parental species, and probably cross-pollinated by hummingbirds, with T. pastensis, T. stenoura, T. fendleri and T. clavigera, The following names are proposed, using a combination of the two epithets of the parents: T. x pastenata for a hybrid between T. complanata and T. pastensis; T. x stenlanata for a hybrid between T. complanata and T. stenoura; T. x fendlanata for a hybrid between T. complanata and T. fendleri, and T. x clavinata for a hybrid between T. complanata and T. clavigera.
