Abstract:—One new species belonging to the genus Guzmania (Bromeliaceae) from Ecuador is described and illustrated. Guzmania peter-bakii (subfamily Tillandsioideae) from the province of Napo in the Cordillera de los Guacamayos region of norteastern Ecuador is related to Guzmania amplectens L.B. Smith. Distinguishing characteristics between these species are provided
