Abstract:—While searching for Tillandsia racinae, a plant originally thought to be this species was also found not far from its type locality. After careful investigation and comparison with similar species of the Tillandsia biflora complex, this new Colombian endemic species is now described as T. gloriae. The similar T. clavigera var. pendula, which is even not closely related to the nominate species T. clavigera, is here elevated to the rank of a separate species and named T. cerosa
