Abstract:—Three new species belonging to the genus Tillandsia (Bromeliaceae) from Ecuador are described and illustrated. Tillandsia kickae (Tillandsia subgenus Pseudovriesea) from the province of Loja in the southern region of Ecuador is related to Tillandsia espinosae L.B. Sm.; Tillandsia renateae (Tillandsia subgenus Allardtia) from the province of Azuay in southern Ecuador is related to Tillandsia coinaensis Ehlers from Peru; Tillandsia karinae (Tillandsia subgenus Pseudovriesea) from the province of Loja in southern Ecuador is related to Tillandsia gruberi (Ehlers) J.R. Grant from Colombia, Dept of Colima, La Honda. Distinguishing characteristics between these species are provided
