(Uploaded as: Tillandsia trelawniensis)
Locality: Dominican Republic -
Photographer: Peter Tristram
Note: Label says plant obtained from Selby in 1988 as a small form of fasciculata. Perhaps an aff. trelawniensis? (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
Identification: Solved
- Note: Walter Till (2012-05-14) - May be.
- Identification: HEL (2012-05-16) =Tillandsia rangelensis
- Cuba and Hispanola. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Note: Eric Gouda (2014-01-06) - I have checked the type image and I must say that the type of Tillandsia rangelensis looks more like a species/var of the T.fasciculata complex than this very narrow leaved specimen whitch has much less densely imbricate floral bracts than a typical T.fasciculata, T.trelawniensis and T.rangelensis has. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Identification: Uncle Derek (2014-01-07) =Tillandsia trelawniensis
- My view is that the photo is of T. trelawniensis as surmised by Tristram. I think Harry was wrong especially if you check it against the description. Differential for T. rangelensis is with T. moscosoi!. Also Brian Sidoti and Kenneth Cameron at Monocots Conference 2013 treat T. trelawniensis as in the T. fasciculata complex but ignore T. rangelensis. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
