- Add Note: Jerry Raack (2018-02-13) - Bill, I purchased one of these from Ecuagenera and bloomed it also. Mine turned out to be Tillandsia porphyrocraspeda (see plant with this name on this website). I just posted photos of Tillandsia portillae in the wild on this website (see photos under that name to see the difference). Both are very nice plants. As T. porphyrocraspeda continues to bloom, the spikes on the side elongate and you get many flowers on each spike. Is that what yours did? (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
