- Cant tell from your photo but I suspect it is an ionantha; looks a bit like some large, poorly colored ones from Costa Rica. Tillandsia ionantha is quite variable in size, shape and color. Tillandsia abdita is a synonym of T. bradeana and is more like a robust T. brachycaulos without a conspicuous scape and often completely dark red when flowering.
