- Identification: Eric J. Gouda (2009-05-04) =Puya berteroniana
- The leaves are lepidote on abaxial side, indicating it is not Puya alpestris, which is closely related.
- Identification (2570): Eric J. Gouda (2009-05-06) =Puya alpestris
- Sorry Charles, I was mistaken, P.alpestris (1.5m) is also lepidote on abaxial side and much smaller than P.berteroniana (4.5m), so P.alpestris is probably the right species name.
