Puyopsis, subkey III, 1. sepals tomentose 14. floral bracts exceed sepals 24. sepals 15-25mm long (20mm) 28. primary bracts lacinate 29. apices of primary bracts narrowly triangular. Problems: my plant 5m high (infl. 2m) cf S&D says plant 1.2m.; S&D says plant type at 3500m altitude, Kromer says P. chen, aprox 1700-2400m (BSI 50/4); infl. my plant looks dissimilar to pic by Kromer (ibid. p. 163) particularly primary bract shape; leaves appear larger and more dense than those in Selby Gardens pic by Anna Rousse (BSI 44 p. 78) Identification: pending (Click on the picture to enlarge)
