Note: From Costa Rica. Another one like some of those from Panama posted by Bruce. Grows at about 1500-2000m from memory in similar zones to Guz angustifolia, cloud forest.

- Identification: Matthias Asmuss (2012-09-17) =Guzmania membranacea
- not known from Costa Rica, but from Panama; never had the chance to see it live in Venezuela to be more sure about it; the lower scape bracts are foliaceous; without measures it is difficult to say whether the petals are longer than the bracts; are the scape bracts and sepals membranaceous (= very thin) ?
