- Add Note: Matthias Asmuss (2015-05-21) - G. weberbaueri has reddish primary and scape bracts with the typical longitudinal lines of a Guzmania. Here I just see yellowish green bracts. I have seen and photographed G. sphaeroidea and it has totally white flowers, whereas this plant has yellow flowers. I did not have an encounter with G. virescens but comparing to Oliva-Esteves' picture in one of his books G. virescens seems to be still the closest match. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note: Eric Gouda (2015-05-21) - Matthias, the photo of G.virescens in Esteves work is not even close to G.virescens. I think that is more close to G.rugosa don't you think? (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
