11826 - Bromeliads (Garden) - 2014-10-17 (Dimension: 1530 x 2050 pixels - Counter: 15322) Guzmania stricta Locality: Ecuador - Unknown - Photographer: Jerry Raack Note: Obtained from Jeffery Kent in 1992. Flowering now in my greenhouse. 69cm tall (top of inflorescence) X 51cm wide. Leaves 81cm long X 1.9cm wide, reddish color underneath, and slightly ribbed. Flower scape 20cm long from lowest scape bract to top of inflorescence. Scape bracts 3.8cm to 6.3cm long, tapering to a point. Yellow flowers never fully open.
