- Add Note (10904): Uwe (2013-03-25) - Yes, A. pitcairnioides. Self-pollinated seeds are viable, but the half will be without chlorophyll. This phenomenon is described several times and is proven by me too. The other 50% will grow easily - but they should look much better than these poor plants on your pictures. Mine look like a cross between a tuft of grass and barbed wire ... (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
