Distribution: BRAZIL: Minas Gerais

Habitat: growing on quartzite rocks, vertically attached on small cavities, and in rocky fields, 860–1400 m. Elev.

Etymology: The epithet refers to the small size of the plant, derived from the Greek μικρoς, ‘micros’ meaning small.
