Distribution: BRAZIL: Minas Gerais

Habitat: campos rupestres, in a rocky places with water falls, where the species grows with herbaceous vegetation, on exposed areas, as a lithophytic., 1300—1500 m. Elev.

Etymology: Named for Parque Natural do Canuja, the locality wherein the plant is endemic.
