Distribution: MEXICO. Jalisco

Habitat: Terrestrial or saxicolous in oak and open pine-oak forests, among shaded, moist boulders, 1195-1213 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the singular characteristics of the new species that distinguish it from any other member of the genus.

Phenology: It flowers and fruits from August to December
