Habitat: Rupicolous on steep rock walls in the Atlantic Forest

Etymology: Vriesea euclidiana is named after the bromeliad and orchid collector, Euclidio José Colnago, who has introduced in cultivation many new and unusual bromeliad species, mainly from the State of Espírito Santo where he lives and keeps a biologically rich living collection.
