Distribution: Argentina. Jujuy

Habitat: It lives in rocky canyons of the Chaco Serrano environments, ca 1400 m. Elev.

Etymology: The name of this subspecies is based on the name of the Department Valle Grande of the province of Jujuy (Argentina), which includes the town of San Francisco where it was collected.
