Distribution: BRAZIL. Minas Gerais

Habitat: Terrestrial growing on quartzitic rocky outcrops, in sandy soil., 1070 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the deep grooves present on the abaxial leaf surface, which differentiate this species from its closest relatives.

Phenology: Phenology: The flowering period of Dyckia sulcata is between February and June.
