Habitat: a typical rupicolous species of the Campos Rupestres of the Diamantina Plateau, under intense sunlight on bare quartzitic outcrops, ca 1350 m. Elev. img

Etymology: The name of this new species is an explicit reference to the recurved leaf blades which allows its identification even when sterile.
