Distribution: MEXICO: Tamaulipas

Habitat: Terrestrial on extensive limestone hills or rocky exposed areas, 1460 - 1850 m. Elev.

Etymology: We dedicate this species to Luis G. Hernández Sandoval who collected the type material of this new species.
