Etymology: Etymology- The name is a reference to its dimorphic leaves, some with the blades reduced, narrowly subtriangular-attenuate with marginal spines, and the others much larger, with linear blades and entire margins for most of their length (Fig. 1E).

Phenology: It flowers from November to January.
