Distribution: Mexico: Guerrero, Jalisco

Habitat: epiphytes in tropical deciduous forest, in arid or warm subhumid areas, 50-190 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the name of the river San Nicolas, near the town of the type collection, in Jalisco, Mexico.

Phenology: Flowering occurs in February, March, May, and December. Fruiting occurs in January and August to October.
