Habitat: Grows in between shrubs or as rupicolous on granitic rock outcrops, 700 m. Elev.

Etymology: We dedicate this new species to Dr. Raymond M. Harley in recognition for his many outstanding contributions to our knowledge of the flora of Bahia.
