Distribution: BRAZIL; Minas Gerais,

Habitat: rupicolous on almost vertical cliffs, forming large populations, ca. 300 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific name of A. distractila refers to branches well apart from each other and so distinctly separated, on the basis of the Latin word "distractilis".
