Licinio de Almeida, ca. 15 km north of town on road to Brejinho das Ametistas (Mun. Caetite), 14°32' S, 42°31'W, ca. 800 m elev., 25 Sep. 2003, and flowered in cultivation,Aug. 2004 (Holotype, HB).
