Habitat: 300 m. Elev.

Etymology: This species is named in honor of Eloise Beach of Orlando, Florida. In addition to collecting this species for the first time, Eloise's unstinting studies of the Bromeliaceae have added considerably to our horticultural and botanical knowledge of the family.
