Distribution: Costa Rica; Puntarenas, San Jose,

Habitat: in very humid forests of the Peninsula de Osa, Gulf and along the coastal strips of the canton of Puriscal, Province of San José, 0-750 m. Elev.

Phenology: Flowers between August and September; Fruits from October to March.
