Habitat: 2400 to 3000 m. Elev.

Etymology: This species is dedicated to Francisco Javier Roldan, curator of the Herbarium of the University of Antioquia (HUA), a specialist in Loranthaceae, an expert of the Flora of Antioquia and excellent field companion.
