Distribution: BRAZIL; Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro,

Habitat: over 1,000 m. Elev.

Etymology: The Latin suffix ensis, meaning "belonging to a certain place", plus the name of the locality where this taxon was found, that is, "Ibitipoca", gave rise to the epithet N. ibitipocensis.
