Distribution: BRAZIL; Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais,
Habitat: in the Atlantic Pluvial Forest to 650 m altitude, restinga and rocky coastlines near the sea. In Rio de Janeiro the species is more frequent in restinga forests and coastlines, where it forms dense populations, but tends to be in single collections in forest montana.
