Type: BRAZIL: Espirito Santo: Santa Teresa, on rocks in semi sun with moisture at roots, on road to Santa Teresa, Foster 243 (holotype, GH!).

Distribution: BRAZIL: Espirito Santo

Habitat: growing on rocks, in humid places, 400-500 m. Elev.

Etymology: The epithet "marginatus" refers to the foliar blades wich have very light green middle area with narrow reddish margins.
