Distribution: Brazil: Rio de Janeiro State

Habitat: inhabits areas of restinga and Atlantic Forest, 0-390 m. Elev.

Etymology: The name was given in honor of the botanist Dimitri Sucre.

Phenology: It flowers from April to July and was found with fruit in November.
