Distribution: Brazil: Rio de Janeiro

Habitat: terrestrial, heliophytic, ca 390 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet alludes to Lucifer (from the Latin, lux fero, ‘light bearer’) and refers to the lighthouse built at the highest part of Ilha do Cabo Frio near the population of the new species.
