Distribution: Brazil: Rio de Janeiro

Habitat: terrestrially in nebular Atlantic Forest, forming large and dense groups of plants on the forest floor, 1190-2130 m. Elev.

Etymology: The name of this new species is a reference to the Orgãos montains, which is a portion of the Serra do Mar range in Rio de Janeiro state.
