Distribution: BRAZIL: Minas Gerais

Habitat: Saxicolous on blackish quartzitic rocky outcrop, where it forms large group sof plants on more or less horizontal planes in the Campos Rupestres domain, exposed to full sun, ca 800 m. Elev.

Etymology: The chosen specific epithet of this new species is a reference to the place where it was originally collected, in the district of Inhaí, located in the county of Diamantina, Minas Gerais state
