Type: BRAZIL. In the northern part of the state of Goiás: South of Colinas do Sul, 514 m altitude, at the base of rocks, in quartz gravel, campo rupestre, leg. 1 December 2023, P.J. Braun 7474, J. Larocca & A. Seringer (holotype HAS 106.828; isotype HAS 106.829 & HAS 106.830)

Distribution: BRAZIL: Goiás

Habitat: Terrestrial at the base of rocks in a substrate consisting of quartz gravel (campo rupestre), ca 500 m. Elev.

Etymology: The naming of this new species is in honour of the co-discoverer and cactus specialist Bernhard Bohle from Geseke, Germany (Fig. 12)

Phenology: The plants were in the late flowering stage on 1 December 2023. Most fruits were not yet ripe. However, there appears to be a second flowering period in early spring, as fresh fruits were also found in May.
