Type: BRAZIL. Bahia: Uruçuca, Parque Estadual da Serra do Conduru. BA-653, Serra Grande - Uruçuca, margem esquerda próximo ao limite do PESC em mata fechada. 12 December 2022 collected sterile, and bloomed in cultivation in 12 April 2023, E.H. Souza 2575 (holotype HURB!, isotype RB!).

Distribution: Brazil: Bahia

Habitat: epiphyte in Atlantic Forest fragments, forming small populations with 6 to 15 individuals on trees with small trunk diameter and different stages of development., ca 140 m. Elev.

Etymology: The epithet urussucensis refers to the type locality, the municipality of Uruçuca, located in the Bahia mesoregion and microregion of the municipalities of Ilhéus and Itabuna.

Phenology: Based on cultivation, we verified the occurrence of flowering from March to June, and the fruiting stage in September and October.
