Distribution: BRAZIL: Bahia

Habitat: Growing saxicolous on vertical granitic walls, forming a very large and dense population completely covering the rocky surface, ca 125 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet is a reference to the county of Itamaraju, Bahia state, where this new species was found
