Habitat: Epiphyte in trees of mesophytic mountain forest, ca 1300 m. Elev.

Phenology: The epithet of this natural hybrid honors Faustino Miranda González (1905-1964), an eminent Spanish botanist living in Mexico, who was one of the first naturalists to characterize the vegetation of Chiapas and discoverer of countless new plant species for Mexico.
