Distribution: BRAZIL. Bahia

Habitat: Epiphytic in lowland forests close to the coast, 845-885 m. Elev.

Etymology: The species epithet refers to the locality where the first specimen was collected, in the district of Serrana (Brejões, Bahia)

Phenology: The species blooms in November and December, and is fruiting between December and May.
