Distribution: Mexico: Puebla
Habitat: terrestrially or saxicolous in tropical deciduous forests, 1300-1400 m. Elev.
Etymology: From the Latin word “vice,” which means substitute, alternate, and sphaeroblasta, the species which H. vicesphaeroblasta most closely resembles and with which it can be confused.
Phenology: Plants bloom from August to September.
